How long does the battery last?
The MicroTrack is a rechargeable shipment tracker, and battery life depends on the reporting cadence you pick: about 2.5 weeks in hybrid motion mode (every 60 seconds moving, hourly at rest), about 1 week at 5-minute reports, about 2 months hourly, about 8 months at 6-hour reports, and up to 18 months at one report per day.
How frequently does the device report?
The MicroTrack can be configured to report every 60 seconds while in motion (easing to hourly at rest), every 5 minutes, every hour, every 6 hours, or every 24 hours — configurable remotely from the GPX platform, even mid-trip. It's important to remember that increasing the reporting frequency will reduce the battery life.
How do I install the device?
The small form factor of the MicroTrack allows you to simply place the device directly inside your package or valuable asset — it's smaller than a deck of cards and weighs 99 grams. The IP67 enclosure is waterproof and dustproof, so it handles the trip on its own.
What network does the device utilize?
The MicroTrack reports over 4G LTE — Cat-M1 and NB-IoT, the low-power LTE standards built for connected devices — with 2G fallback, riding the largest and most reliable cellular networks in the United States.

Is the battery on this device replaceable?
The MicroTrack battery is easily rechargeable over USB-C using the included charging cable. The red LED will flash while charging and become solid when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 2–3 hours.
