How long does the battery last?
The AssetTrack Voyager is a rechargeable shipment tracker with up to 7 months of battery life when set to report every 4 hours. It's great for high or low-frequency location pings on long or short shipment timelines: every 5 minutes lasts about 1 week, every 15 minutes about 2.5 weeks, hourly about 2 months, and every 4 hours up to 7 months. At one report per day, standby stretches to 20 months.
How frequently does the device report?
The AssetTrack Voyager can be configured to report once every 5 minutes, once every 15 minutes, once every hour, or every 4 hours — configurable remotely from the GPX platform, even mid-trip. It also supports a hybrid motion-based mode: a fix every minute or every 5 minutes while the shipment is moving, then hourly, every 4 hours, or every 24 hours at rest to conserve battery. Increasing the reporting frequency will reduce the battery's life.
How do I install the device on my shipment?
The AssetTrack Voyager has a built-in magnetic case and mounts to any metallic surface in seconds. Alternatively, the device can be attached to shipments with extra-strong double-sided 3M tape. An anti-tamper sensor alerts you if removal is attempted.
Can I reuse it for multiple shipments?
Yes — that's the point. When a shipment lands, recharge the Voyager and put it on the next one. It also works as a single-use tracker for one-way shipments where the hardware doesn't come back.
