The AssetTrack is a non-rechargeable long-term asset tracker with up to 10 years of battery life when set to a single location report every 24 hours. We also offer the AssetTrack Charge — a rechargeable version with the same form and size that plugs in for an increased lifespan, lasting up to 7 years on a single charge at one report per day.
How frequently does the device report?
The AssetTrack can be configured to report once every 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours, or hourly — configurable remotely from the GPX platform. For emergency tracking and theft recovery, continuous mode reports a fresh position every 5 minutes. Increasing the reporting frequency reduces battery life.
How do I install the device on my asset?
The AssetTrack has a built-in magnetic case and mounts to any metallic surface in seconds — no tools, no wiring. For non-metallic assets, optional flange mounting screws down securely. An anti-tamper sensor alerts you if the device is removed.
What network does the device utilize?
The AssetTrack reports over 4G LTE — Cat-M1 (eMTC) and Cat-NB2 (NB-IoT), the low-power LTE standards built for IoT devices — with EGPRS fallback. That means exceptional coverage across North America, even in remote areas.
