How does the AssetTemp report its data?
Over Bluetooth (BLE), to a paired GPX BLE-enabled GPS tracker or fixed gateway within range — up to 120 meters in the open. Its reporting cadence follows the paired device, so temperature and humidity readings arrive in the GPX platform synchronized with location data.
Can it alert me when conditions go out of range?
Yes. Set temperature or humidity thresholds in the GPX platform and, when the AssetTemp is paired with a gateway or tracker, alerts fire the moment readings deviate — so you can intervene mid-route instead of discovering an excursion at delivery.
How long does the battery last?
The AssetTemp is powered by two replaceable 1.5 V 1200 mAh lithium iron disulfide batteries — a chemistry known for long shelf life and extended performance. Actual battery life varies with usage and environmental conditions, and when it runs down, you swap the batteries rather than the sensor.
How do I install the device on my asset?
Two ways, both toolless: lay the device flat on the asset's surface, or use the built-in adhesive sticker to attach it firmly to the shipment, rack, or container. The IPX4-rated case handles splashes and condensation-prone environments.
Will this device work internationally?
The AssetTemp reports through its paired GPX tracker, so coverage follows the tracker: it's verified to work in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Will this device work indoors?
Yes — indoors is home turf. As long as the AssetTemp is within range of a paired GPX tracker or gateway (up to 120 meters / about 390 feet in the open), it reports normally, making it ideal for warehouses, cold rooms, and storage monitoring.
